POSITION

As a Senior Controller, you will be responsible for monthly reporting, ensuring data accuracy, and the correct and timely submission of tax reports. You play a key role in guaranteeing accurate and timely reporting, supporting effective decision-making, and contributing to the organization’s financial stability and growth. You will report directly to the Finance Director and share office space with the Financial Controller and Finance Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy and presentation of the monthly report and challenge the Financial Controller to meet deadlines while maintaining high reporting standards
  • Responsible for analyzing, implementing, and reporting ESG requirements as requested by shareholders and external regulations
  • Assist in budget preparation for the new year in collaboration with management and monitor performance against the budget
  • Support the VP Finance in preparing ad-hoc business cases and financial forecasts for the management team and C-suite
  • Ensure the Tax Control Framework is up-to-date and that potential risks are mitigated. Prepare CIT filings, TP documentation, and ensure timely submission of these tax filings. Supervise the timely and accurate submission of payroll and VAT tax filings (including but not limited to WKR)
  • Help improve short- and long-term forecasts for the company as a whole and at P&L level
  • Prepare and support external financial audits
  • Prepare and maintain the accounting manual and ensure its correct application in internal and external reporting
  • Ensure timely payments of trade payables and loans while managing cash flow needs across all entities. Review prepared payments for due dates and correct bank accounts
  • Oversee outstanding intercompany balances and provide advice on settling accounts through dividends and share premium conversions to optimize tax planning. Reconcile and settle intercompany balances to maintain an accurate financial position of the consolidated entity

PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (RA or RC) is a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience at a large accounting firm or in a financial/business control function
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of international tax regulations
  • Strong team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards
  • Fluent in English (Essential for communication with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and international stakeholders)
